On 27 June 2011, Marek Kobak was appointed President of the Board. Prior to 1 January 2010, he was Board Member of Naftowax Paraffin Factory Sp. z o.o. and at the same time – from 2009 – Director of Sales. He is 45 years old and a graduate of the Faculty of Commerce and Cooperatives of the Hugo Kołłątaj University of Agriculture in Kraków, Rzeszów Branch, where he earned a MS in economics. He also completed Postgraduate Managerial Studies in Management from the West Pomeranian School of Business in Szczecin. He was a participant in the Program Management 2007 Canadian International Management Institute in collaboration with Harvard Business School Publishing, has been trained in strategic management, marketing management, financial controlling information systems and has taken a course for Supervisory Board Members.

His career began as an employee with the marketing department of the Podkarpacie Refinery Plant –Jasło Refinery, where he subsequently moved up the ladder in the areas of marketing, economics and sales. He took care of the financial management of the company, acquired clients and suppliers, maintained business relations and negotiated contracts. In the years 2000-2004, he held the position of Director of Economics-Commerce and Board Member of the Jasło Paraffin Refinery Sp. z o.o. One of the most important professional successes of Marek Kobak is the separation of Jasło Paraffin Refinery Sp. z o.o. from the structure of Jasło Refinery S.A. and achievement of its durable profitability.

From 2004 to 2007, he held the position of Director of Sales at LOTOS Paraffin Sp. z o.o., where he was responsible for, among others, maintaining business relations with key clients, management of sales and purchasing projects and development of long- and short-term sales and supply strategies. The greatest achievement of this period was the combining of the sales structures of Jasło Paraffin Refinery Sp. z o.o. and RC Czechowice within the Lotos Group S.A.

Immediately prior to joining Naftowax Paraffin Factory, he held the position of Vice-President of the Board and Director of Sales at Krosglass S.A, where he was preparing a prospectus for the Warsaw Stock Exchange. He has been associated with Naftowax Paraffin Factory since 2009. He knows English, Russian and Czech.
